Brock Lesnar’s UFC return opponent will be Heavyweight fighter Mark Hunt at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.
The announcement was made Monday morning on ESPN SportsCenter, where Lesnar talked about his decision to return to UFC.
Lesnar said the decision to officially retire from UFC “haunted” him. He said he could not live with the rest of his life without avenging his final fight, which was a retirement loss to Alistair Overeem in December 2011.

Hunt is not a big-name opponent to pro wrestling fans with a casual interest/knowledge of UFC, but the idea is Lesnar is a special attraction by himself.
Hunt carries a 12-10-1 record against Lesnar’s 5-3 record at the UFC PPV. Hunt won his last two fights, including against Frank Mir in March.
Hunt is from New Zealand and has not fought in the U.S. in three years, dating back to a loss against Junior dos Santos in May 2013 in Las Vegas.
