On Sunday morning, WWE announced via their official website that Heath Slater suffered an injury during his match at the non-televised live event in Bangor, Maine on Saturday evening.

The match, which saw Slater receive a giant gash over his right eye from Titus O’Neil, was immediately stopped with O’Neil being declared as the winner.

Stephen Daquino, the ringside physician who treated Slater, told WWE.com, “Heath has a six centimeter laceration above his right eye. It was quite open, right down to the bone. He got 18 sutures and hopefully that will close it up.”
