“I feel a lot more comfortable in the role this time around. Before, maybe there was a sense of apology to it. Like, ‘sorry I’m the champ guys!’ Maybe there was a sense of that. I had never had [a title]before, not in WWE. I worked so hard for it, but it’s all an internal game. The crowd wanted me to be the champ, at the time, but there was always a sense of me being overly nice. Am I stepping on anyones’ toes? Is anyone offended? I think that was the way that I used to be. You have to won it. You have to believe it, and then everybody else will believe it. And I don’t know that I fully did, so that was on me.”
