The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match took place early into the pay-per-view of the same name and it saw some of the best female stars from the Raw and Smackdown roster compete to win the title. There was a lot on the line during the match, including a briefcase that contained a contract for a guaranteed championship match at any time of their choosing within the next year. This was the second official women’s Money in the Bank ladder match after it debuted during last years show. While Carmella was victorious in the inaugural match, it was none other than former Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss that ended up walking away with the contract this year.

Surprisingly, Bliss’ run as a Money in the Bank contract holder was very short-lived. For weeks now, fans have been looking forward to seeing who would win the showdown between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship, but neither woman was able to get the win. Not wasting any time getting rid of her new briefcase, Bliss suddenly ran down to the ring and attacked both women before she decided to cash in her guaranteed championship match right there and then. As if that was not enough, Bliss actually won the match and by pinning Nia Jax with the Twisted Bliss to once again win the Raw Women’s Championship. Alexa Bliss is back on top of the Raw women’s division as the champion once more.

Alexa Bliss lost the Raw Women’s Championship to Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34 back in April, and although most fans assumed that she would be moving to the back of the line for a title shot, Bliss has regained the title just a few months later. This new title reign officially makes Bliss a five-time champion in WWE with three different reigns as the Raw Women’s Championship in addition to two reigns as Smackdown Women’s Champion. Bliss has just about done it all during her short time on the WWE roster, but with Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey both undoubtedly eager to get revenge, it certainly looks like WWE’s “Goddess” has got the first challengers for her title set.
